What was the highlight of Blu Galapagos Sustainable Waterfront Lodge
Wonderfully comfortable, both in the accomodation and the service!
We choose to stay in one of the rooms with a sea view for four wonderful nights, and it was absolutely worth it as we were able to observe the sea lions, pelicans and crabs in the bay, at all times of the day. The shower had hot water and the bed was large and comfortable, both perfect after a long day of exploring. The staff were very helpful - laundry services taking only a few hours. There's a little store on site for convenience, and the restaurant downstairs was very good - we ate there twice! You could also rent bikes for free, which was a nice perk! We also really enjoyed the location. The hotel sits towards the end of the main strip in town, close to many restaurants, bars and shopping and an easy walk to the bus stop and the pier for water taxis and tours (about a 12 minute walk)!
The breakfast could have been better. It's separate from the restaurant itself and we learned that it's coming from an entirely different kitchen. It's open from 6:30-9:30, which is nice since a lot of tours start early. But, we're not sure how often the food was replenished, as it was often cold. The selection was also limited, every day serving a different version of eggs, meat, bread, fruit, coffee and juice. The juice was delicious though, often fresh pressed!

Perfect location! Honestly the best hotel on the island. So cozy. The restaurant is amazing and beautiful view. Every day right at my feet were sea lions, crabs, pelicans and fish. It was a dream .
The only issue was communicating with hotel About charging things to the room. They said yes and then after we left told us the restaurant was separate and it was a big hassle trying to get the restaurant their money . It was a big confusing mess but ended up Ok.
